Kelli Smith-Biwer

Hello! I am an Assistant Professor (limited-term) of Musicology at the University of Michigan. My research revolves around music technology and gender, with a special focus on audiophile culture. I am currently working on my first book, which will cover mid-twentieth-century high fidelity magazines, home audio technologies, and masculinity. I am also an activist working to create opportunities in electronic music and audio engineering for queer and woman-identifying musicians.
